I’m Rachel Hartley, founder and jewellery designer of Rachel Hartley Atelier. With years of experience studying and working with the healing properties and energy of crystals, my knowledge of gemstone selection extends beyond aesthetics. Each stone is chosen not only for its beauty and individuality, but also for the qualities it is believed to embody.

Every design begins with the gemstone. I work with carefully selected stones, combining them with sterling silver, gold vermeil, and copper to create jewellery that is both timeless and deeply personal.

Each piece is handcrafted in my studio with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every creation reflects the care, skill, and intention invested in its making. This is not mass-produced jewellery. It is created slowly, one piece at a time, for those who value authenticity, craftsmanship, and meaningful design.

There is something quietly intentional about wearing a heart at the ankle. Not displayed at the wrist or the throat, but lower, closer to the ground, private symbol, chosen for yourself rather than for anyone else to read.

The heart is one of the oldest and most universal symbols in human culture, appearing across civilisations and centuries as a mark of love, compassion, courage, and the emotional centre of the self. Worn at the ankle, it carries that meaning with a lightness and ease that feels less like a statement and more like a quiet reminder of what matters, of what you carry, of what you choose to move through the world with.

This anklet is made from a sterling silver heart link chain, each link approximately 4x5mm, small enough to sit delicately on the ankle, substantial enough to catch the light as you move. It fastens with a bolt ring clasp and measures 9 inches, sized to sit comfortably on most ankles with a little ease. Because the clasp can attach to any link in the chain, the fit can be adjusted to suit; worn closer to the ankle or with a little more room, depending on your preference.

Made from eco sterling silver with an anti-tarnish finish, it is designed to be worn and kept, resistant to the everyday exposure that dulls lesser metals, and made to hold its quality over time.
