I am delighted to introduce my new home for handcrafted artisan gemstone jewellery, where every piece is created with intention, craftsmanship, and an appreciation for the natural beauty of exceptional gemstones.

I’m Rachel Hartley, founder and jewellery designer of Rachel Hartley Atelier. With years of experience studying and working with the healing properties and energy of crystals, my knowledge of gemstone selection extends beyond aesthetics. Each stone is chosen not only for its beauty and individuality, but also for the qualities it is believed to embody.

Every design begins with the gemstone. I work with carefully selected stones, combining them with sterling silver, gold vermeil, and copper to create jewellery that is both timeless and deeply personal.

Each piece is handcrafted in my studio with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every creation reflects the care, skill, and intention invested in its making. This is not mass-produced jewellery. It is created slowly, one piece at a time, for those who value authenticity, craftsmanship, and meaningful design.

Labradorite

Mysterious, transformative and utterly captivating, Labradorite is a stone that holds an entire universe within it. On the surface it appears a quiet, dark grey, but turn it to the light and it erupts in a breathtaking display of iridescent colour, flashing electric blues, greens, golds and violets in a phenomenon known as labradorescence.

At Rachel Hartley Atelier, each Labradorite piece is chosen for the intensity and spectacle of its colour play, crafted to reveal its magic with every movement.

Associated with the Third Eye and Crown chakras, Labradorite is said to be a stone of transformation and intuition, strengthening the connection to the higher self, awakening psychic abilities and protecting the aura during times of change, a stone for those who seek the extraordinary in the everyday.
