Welcome to Rachel Hartley Atelier

I am delighted to introduce my new home for handcrafted artisan gemstone jewellery, where every piece is created with intention, craftsmanship, and an appreciation for the natural beauty of exceptional gemstones.

I’m Rachel Hartley, founder and jewellery designer of Rachel Hartley Atelier. With years of experience studying and working with the healing properties and energy of crystals, my knowledge of gemstone selection extends beyond aesthetics. Each stone is chosen not only for its beauty and individuality, but also for the qualities it is believed to embody.

Every design begins with the gemstone. I work with carefully selected stones, combining them with sterling silver, gold vermeil, and copper to create jewellery that is both timeless and deeply personal.

Each piece is handcrafted in my studio with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every creation reflects the care, skill, and intention invested in its making. This is not mass-produced jewellery. It is created slowly, one piece at a time, for those who value authenticity, craftsmanship, and meaningful design.

Bespoke Commissions

Every piece at Rachel Hartley Atelier begins with a stone and an intention. If you have something particular in mind, a specific gemstone, a design you've been carrying around in your head, a gift that needs to be exactly right, a bespoke commission may be the answer.

The process is simple and personal. You share what you're looking for; a stone, a style, an occasion, a feeling. From there, we work together to bring it into being, handcrafted by hand in noble metals, made to be worn and kept for a long time.

Commissions are taken on a limited basis to ensure each piece receives the care and attention it deserves.

How it works

1. Get in touch — Use the contact form below or email us directly with your idea. Include any reference images, stone preferences, or budget if you have them.

2. We'll discuss your vision — Rachel will be in touch to explore your ideas, suggest stones and designs, and provide a quote.

3. Your piece is made — Once agreed, your commission is handcrafted and delivered gift-ready, typically within 1–2 weeks depending on complexity.

After 20 years, a beloved amber ring had finally broken, and the owner wasn't ready to let it go.

She came to Rachel with a memory, and it was turned back into something she could wear again. When she saw the finished piece, she was speechless.

Recreated to her exact specifications, including a perfect U½ sizing, every detail was crafted with care, right down to the fit.

Three best men. One unforgettable wedding gift.

A young man came to us with a request close to his heart; matching handmade gemstone bracelets for himself and his three best men, to wear on his wedding day.

Each bracelet was individually crafted by hand, no two exactly the same. Among the three best men was Michelin-starred celebrity chef Paul Ainsworth, who wore his on the day, and beyond.
