I am delighted to introduce my new home for handcrafted artisan gemstone jewellery, where every piece is created with intention, craftsmanship, and an appreciation for the natural beauty of exceptional gemstones.

I’m Rachel Hartley, founder and jewellery designer of Rachel Hartley Atelier. With years of experience studying and working with the healing properties and energy of crystals, my knowledge of gemstone selection extends beyond aesthetics. Each stone is chosen not only for its beauty and individuality, but also for the qualities it is believed to embody.

Every design begins with the gemstone. I work with carefully selected stones, combining them with sterling silver, gold vermeil, and copper to create jewellery that is both timeless and deeply personal.

Each piece is handcrafted in my studio with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every creation reflects the care, skill, and intention invested in its making. This is not mass-produced jewellery. It is created slowly, one piece at a time, for those who value authenticity, craftsmanship, and meaningful design.

Amber

Ancient, warm and utterly captivating, Amber is unlike any other gemstone. Formed from fossilised tree resin over millions of years, it carries within it a piece of the prehistoric world, sometimes preserving tiny fragments of plant or insect life from an era long past.

At Rachel Hartley Atelier, each Amber piece is chosen for the warmth and luminosity of its golden tones, crafted to be worn as a wearable piece of natural history.

Associated with the Sacral and Solar Plexus chakras, Amber is said to bring warmth, vitality and a sense of timeless calm, a stone that connects the wearer to the ancient energy of the earth.
