Welcome to Rachel Hartley Atelier

I am delighted to introduce my new home for handcrafted artisan gemstone jewellery, where every piece is created with intention, craftsmanship, and an appreciation for the natural beauty of exceptional gemstones.

I’m Rachel Hartley, founder and jewellery designer of Rachel Hartley Atelier. With years of experience studying and working with the healing properties and energy of crystals, my knowledge of gemstone selection extends beyond aesthetics. Each stone is chosen not only for its beauty and individuality, but also for the qualities it is believed to embody.

Every design begins with the gemstone. I work with carefully selected stones, combining them with sterling silver, gold vermeil, and copper to create jewellery that is both timeless and deeply personal.

Each piece is handcrafted in my studio with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every creation reflects the care, skill, and intention invested in its making. This is not mass-produced jewellery. It is created slowly, one piece at a time, for those who value authenticity, craftsmanship, and meaningful design.

My name is Rachel Hartley, and I’m the founder of Rachel Hartley Atelier; a growing, heart led brand dedicated to beautifully handcrafted gemstone jewellery.

Crystals and gemstones came into my life when my beloved cat Twinkle passed away. She had been with me for fourteen years and I found the grief very hard to carry. She was my soul mate.

At the time, I was also having hypnotherapy for a separate issue. My therapist happened to be a Reiki healer and her treatment room was home to many crystals. This is where my interest began and so she kindly gifted me my first crystal.

Soon after, I started searching for stones associated with grief and slowly built a small collection. What surprised me was how much comfort they genuinely brought. There was something in holding them, their weight, their coolness, the way each one felt entirely its own. That offered a kind of stillness that I hadn’t expected.

Bit by bit, the collection grew, and before long my house was full of them.

Having been through that myself, and knowing what healing a stone can hold, I wanted to find a way to share it. As I learnt that wearing these stones is an effective way to benefit from their healing properties, I began learning to work with them; to wire wrap them, to string them and to set them in silver. Rachel Hartley Atelier grew from that place.

Each piece that I make carries its own story and is thoughtfully designed using my extensive knowledge of crystal properties to support healing, balance, and personal journeys.

My signature style often features wire-wrapped crystal carvings, enhanced with delicate details such as micro beads or freshwater pearls, creating pieces that are both distinctive and memorable.

I primarily work with high-quality materials, including Sterling Silver, Gold Vermeil, and pure Copper, while remaining flexible to accommodate different price points.

I am not only drawn to crystals but to self-healing in a broader sense. I have navigated my own mental health journey and spent a long time learning what it means to look after yourself with care and intention. That is what I want this atelier to reflect — pieces crafted with intention and purpose, carrying their own story.
