I am delighted to introduce my new home for handcrafted artisan gemstone jewellery, where every piece is created with intention, craftsmanship, and an appreciation for the natural beauty of exceptional gemstones.

I’m Rachel Hartley, founder and jewellery designer of Rachel Hartley Atelier. With years of experience studying and working with the healing properties and energy of crystals, my knowledge of gemstone selection extends beyond aesthetics. Each stone is chosen not only for its beauty and individuality, but also for the qualities it is believed to embody.

Every design begins with the gemstone. I work with carefully selected stones, combining them with sterling silver, gold vermeil, and copper to create jewellery that is both timeless and deeply personal.

Each piece is handcrafted in my studio with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every creation reflects the care, skill, and intention invested in its making. This is not mass-produced jewellery. It is created slowly, one piece at a time, for those who value authenticity, craftsmanship, and meaningful design.

Luminous and alive with colour, this handcrafted pendant begins with a drilled Blue Fluorite sphere.  Blue Fluorite is among the rarest expressions of this mineral family; pure blue specimens are genuinely uncommon, with most tending towards green or purplish hues, making a true blue stone a collector's find in its own right. The sphere is cradled and secured in a hand-wrapped weave of fine sterling silver wire, the coils winding with intention around its curved surface, punctuated throughout with delicate sterling silver micro beads that catch and scatter the light with every movement. The result is a piece that feels both architectural and organic, structured in craft, fluid in appearance.

Blue Fluorite is known as a stone of clarity and calm, long associated with mental focus, emotional balance and the gentle dissolving of confusion or overwhelm. It is believed to quiet a restless mind, support decision-making and encourage a sense of peaceful order. Resonating with the Third Eye and Throat chakras, it is a stone that supports both clear thought and honest communication, making it as meaningful as it is beautiful to wear.

The pendant arrives suspended on an 18 inch sterling silver fine curb chain, a classic, lightweight style that sits cleanly against the collarbone and complements the handmade quality of the piece without competing with it. Every element is sterling silver throughout, ensuring lasting lustre and wearability.
