I’m Rachel Hartley, founder and jewellery designer of Rachel Hartley Atelier. With years of experience studying and working with the healing properties and energy of crystals, my knowledge of gemstone selection extends beyond aesthetics. Each stone is chosen not only for its beauty and individuality, but also for the qualities it is believed to embody.

Every design begins with the gemstone. I work with carefully selected stones, combining them with sterling silver, gold vermeil, and copper to create jewellery that is both timeless and deeply personal.

Each piece is handcrafted in my studio with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every creation reflects the care, skill, and intention invested in its making. This is not mass-produced jewellery. It is created slowly, one piece at a time, for those who value authenticity, craftsmanship, and meaningful design.

Citrine has a warmth to it that feels almost generous, a golden amber that catches the light and holds it, as though the stone itself is quietly glowing. These earrings pair faceted oval AAA-grade natural Citrine drops with sterling silver huggie hoops, the stones suspended just below the ear in a design that moves beautifully and sits close enough to feel considered rather than showy.

Natural Citrine is a variety of quartz, its warm golden-to-amber colour the result of natural heat and iron content within the crystal structure. Unlike heat-treated Citrine, which is far more common in the market, natural Citrine forms with its colour already present, making each stone genuinely individual. AAA-grade stones are selected for exceptional clarity, depth of colour, and precision of cut. The faceted oval cut maximises the stone's natural brilliance, its curved form softening the light into a warm, honeyed glow. The sterling silver huggie setting wraps close to the earlobe, providing a secure and comfortable fit that works as well with a casual outfit as with a more dressed-up one.
