I am delighted to introduce my new home for handcrafted artisan gemstone jewellery, where every piece is created with intention, craftsmanship, and an appreciation for the natural beauty of exceptional gemstones.

I’m Rachel Hartley, founder and jewellery designer of Rachel Hartley Atelier. With years of experience studying and working with the healing properties and energy of crystals, my knowledge of gemstone selection extends beyond aesthetics. Each stone is chosen not only for its beauty and individuality, but also for the qualities it is believed to embody.

Every design begins with the gemstone. I work with carefully selected stones, combining them with sterling silver, gold vermeil, and copper to create jewellery that is both timeless and deeply personal.

Each piece is handcrafted in my studio with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every creation reflects the care, skill, and intention invested in its making. This is not mass-produced jewellery. It is created slowly, one piece at a time, for those who value authenticity, craftsmanship, and meaningful design.

A single high-grade Bolivian Amethyst takes centre stage in this delicate women’s necklace. Its softly rounded oval freeform shape celebrates the gemstone’s natural individuality, allowing its beautiful purple colour to be the focus of a simple, refined design.

Round Sterling Silver accent beads sit either side of the central stone, adding a gentle touch of brightness. Suspended from a Sterling Silver trace chain, the necklace measures 16 inches in length, making it a lovely piece to wear alone or layer with your favourite silver jewellery.
