I am delighted to introduce my new home for handcrafted artisan gemstone jewellery, where every piece is created with intention, craftsmanship, and an appreciation for the natural beauty of exceptional gemstones.

I’m Rachel Hartley, founder and jewellery designer of Rachel Hartley Atelier. With years of experience studying and working with the healing properties and energy of crystals, my knowledge of gemstone selection extends beyond aesthetics. Each stone is chosen not only for its beauty and individuality, but also for the qualities it is believed to embody.

Every design begins with the gemstone. I work with carefully selected stones, combining them with sterling silver, gold vermeil, and copper to create jewellery that is both timeless and deeply personal.

Each piece is handcrafted in my studio with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every creation reflects the care, skill, and intention invested in its making. This is not mass-produced jewellery. It is created slowly, one piece at a time, for those who value authenticity, craftsmanship, and meaningful design.

Blue Topaz has a clarity to it that is immediately calming. A cool, luminous blue somewhere between a clear sky and the stillness of open water.  It is a stone that brings a sense of ease and openness wherever it is worn. The AAA grade stones used in this collection are selected for the intensity and evenness of their colour, and the precision of their faceting.

Topaz is a silicate mineral prized for its exceptional clarity and brilliance. Blue Topaz is associated with calm communication, mental clarity, and emotional balance, a stone thought to quiet the mind, support honest expression, and bring a sense of peaceful confidence. It works with the throat chakra, encouraging clear thought and considered speech.

This ring is built around a sterling silver chevron band, its angled form clean and architectural, designed to sit beautifully alone or stacked. From it, a beautiful AAA-grade Blue Topaz stone, cut into an elegant marquise shape to draw out the stone's length and brilliance, is suspended in fine silver wire wrapping, hanging like a charm from the band. The effect is delicate and considered; the stone moves with you, catching light as it goes.
