I’m Rachel Hartley, founder and jewellery designer of Rachel Hartley Atelier. With years of experience studying and working with the healing properties and energy of crystals, my knowledge of gemstone selection extends beyond aesthetics. Each stone is chosen not only for its beauty and individuality, but also for the qualities it is believed to embody.

Every design begins with the gemstone. I work with carefully selected stones, combining them with sterling silver, gold vermeil, and copper to create jewellery that is both timeless and deeply personal.

Each piece is handcrafted in my studio with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every creation reflects the care, skill, and intention invested in its making. This is not mass-produced jewellery. It is created slowly, one piece at a time, for those who value authenticity, craftsmanship, and meaningful design.

Fluorite is one of the most visually varied minerals on earth. It forms in cubic crystals within hydrothermal veins, its colour determined by trace impurities and natural irradiation during growth, producing a stone that can range from deep purple to mint green, from ocean blue to a warm, translucent yellow, often shifting through several tones within a single piece. The heart carving draws out that colour fully, the smooth, polished surface allowing light to move through the stone with a soft, glowing clarity.

Fluorite is known as the genius stone, long associated with mental clarity, focus, and the organisation of thought. It is said to absorb and neutralise negative energy and stress, bringing a sense of calm order to a busy mind. It works with the third eye and crown chakras, encouraging clear thinking, honest decision-making, and a quiet confidence in one's own judgement. It is a stone for those who think deeply and feel deeply in equal measure.

This bangle features a fluorite heart set onto an 18 karat gold plated adjustable bangle, the warm gold tone a considered complement to the cool, shifting hues of the stone. The bangle is open-ended and fully adjustable, designed to be worn at the wrist or slid higher up the arm, a versatile piece that sits differently depending on the mood and the moment. The brass base is finished with an 18 karat gold plate, free from cadmium and lead, with excellent durability and a fine jewellery finish.
