I am delighted to introduce my new home for handcrafted artisan gemstone jewellery, where every piece is created with intention, craftsmanship, and an appreciation for the natural beauty of exceptional gemstones.

I’m Rachel Hartley, founder and jewellery designer of Rachel Hartley Atelier. With years of experience studying and working with the healing properties and energy of crystals, my knowledge of gemstone selection extends beyond aesthetics. Each stone is chosen not only for its beauty and individuality, but also for the qualities it is believed to embody.

Every design begins with the gemstone. I work with carefully selected stones, combining them with sterling silver, gold vermeil, and copper to create jewellery that is both timeless and deeply personal.

Each piece is handcrafted in my studio with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every creation reflects the care, skill, and intention invested in its making. This is not mass-produced jewellery. It is created slowly, one piece at a time, for those who value authenticity, craftsmanship, and meaningful design.

Delicate and luminous, these handcrafted drop earrings bring together two of the natural world's most quietly beautiful materials. Each drop is composed of creamy Freshwater Pearls and pale rose Kunzite beads, their soft tones complementing one another with an effortless elegance, the pearls with their organic lustre, the Kunzite with its gentle blush and subtle transparency. Sterling silver micro beads are threaded throughout, adding refined structure and a whisper of sparkle that ties each drop together without overwhelming its natural softness. The drops hang from simple, graceful sterling silver ear wires that keep the focus firmly on the stones. The total drop, including the ear wire, measures 38mm.

Freshwater Pearls have been revered for centuries as symbols of purity, wisdom and feminine strength. They are believed to carry a calming, nurturing energy, encouraging emotional balance and a quiet sense of self-worth. Associated with the Crown and Heart chakras, they are thought to bring clarity and sincerity to the wearer, as well as a deep connection to intuition.

Kunzite is a stone of the heart, a high-vibration crystal known for its gentle, loving energy and its ability to dissolve emotional barriers. Its soft pink hue reflects its resonance with the Heart chakra, where it is said to encourage openness, compassion and inner peace. It is also associated with the Third Eye and Crown chakras, supporting a sense of spiritual connection and uplifted awareness. Kunzite is often worn by those seeking to invite more love, both given and received, into their lives.
