Welcome to Rachel Hartley Atelier

I am delighted to introduce my new home for handcrafted artisan gemstone jewellery, where every piece is created with intention, craftsmanship, and an appreciation for the natural beauty of exceptional gemstones.

I’m Rachel Hartley, founder and jewellery designer of Rachel Hartley Atelier. With years of experience studying and working with the healing properties and energy of crystals, my knowledge of gemstone selection extends beyond aesthetics. Each stone is chosen not only for its beauty and individuality, but also for the qualities it is believed to embody.

Every design begins with the gemstone. I work with carefully selected stones, combining them with sterling silver, gold vermeil, and copper to create jewellery that is both timeless and deeply personal.

Each piece is handcrafted in my studio with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every creation reflects the care, skill, and intention invested in its making. This is not mass-produced jewellery. It is created slowly, one piece at a time, for those who value authenticity, craftsmanship, and meaningful design.

Four Black Flower Agate stones fall in a graceful drop, each wrapped in sterling silver wire that follows its natural contours. Each stone spins on its axis, so you can turn it to show the side you prefer and wear the pendant your way. The silverwork rises to a bail accented with a round sterling silver bead, giving the pendant a beautifully considered finish. The vertical drop measures 43 mm including the bail. Suspended from an 18-inch sterling silver paperclip chain, the contrast between the dark stones and bright silver makes this necklace quietly striking.

Flower Agate is traditionally associated with growth, new beginnings and the confidence to flourish. Black Flower Agate brings a deeper, moodier character to those floral patterns and is often linked symbolically with grounding and protection. Together, those associations give the necklace a sense of strength and possibility.
