I’m Rachel Hartley, founder and jewellery designer of Rachel Hartley Atelier. With years of experience studying and working with the healing properties and energy of crystals, my knowledge of gemstone selection extends beyond aesthetics. Each stone is chosen not only for its beauty and individuality, but also for the qualities it is believed to embody.

Every design begins with the gemstone. I work with carefully selected stones, combining them with sterling silver, gold vermeil, and copper to create jewellery that is both timeless and deeply personal.

Each piece is handcrafted in my studio with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every creation reflects the care, skill, and intention invested in its making. This is not mass-produced jewellery. It is created slowly, one piece at a time, for those who value authenticity, craftsmanship, and meaningful design.

Some bracelets are quiet all the way around. This one has a moment.

At its centre, two polished smokey quartz rounds cradle a single faceted smokey quartz cube with its cut catching the light differently from every angle, a small and deliberate focal point that gives the bracelet its character. It is the kind of detail that rewards a second look.

Smokey quartz carries the rest of the bracelet with the same quiet authority. One of the most grounding stones in the mineral world, it forms when clear quartz is exposed to natural radiation deep within the earth, a process that draws its colour from darkness and transforms it into something steady and clear. It is associated with the root chakra, with protection, and with the gentle but persistent dissolving of negative energy. It does not suppress or deflect; it transmutes, turning what is heavy into something the body can release.

Lavender rose quartz softens the blend with a rare and delicate energy. Differing from traditional rose quartz, its lilac undertone places it at the meeting point of the heart and crown chakras, combining the compassion and emotional openness of rose quartz with a higher, more contemplative quality. It is a stone of gentle self-love, of emotional healing that does not rush, and of the kind of inner peace that comes from accepting rather than resisting.

Selenite anchors the bracelet. Luminous and purifying, it is one of the few stones said to cleanse those around it, holding the energy of the whole piece in a state of clarity and light. Its pale, almost translucent appearance brings a quiet luminosity to the bracelet that lifts the deeper tones of the smokey quartz and echoes the softness of the lavender.

Together, these three stones create a bracelet for grounding and release, for the days when the weight of things needs somewhere to go, and the spirit needs both steadiness and softness in equal measure.

Strung on stretch cord with 6mm gemstone beads, it is made to fit the average UK wrist size of 6.5 inches, easy to wear, and comfortable to keep on.
