I’m Rachel Hartley, founder and jewellery designer of Rachel Hartley Atelier. With years of experience studying and working with the healing properties and energy of crystals, my knowledge of gemstone selection extends beyond aesthetics. Each stone is chosen not only for its beauty and individuality, but also for the qualities it is believed to embody.

Every design begins with the gemstone. I work with carefully selected stones, combining them with sterling silver, gold vermeil, and copper to create jewellery that is both timeless and deeply personal.

Each piece is handcrafted in my studio with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every creation reflects the care, skill, and intention invested in its making. This is not mass-produced jewellery. It is created slowly, one piece at a time, for those who value authenticity, craftsmanship, and meaningful design.

A stretch bracelet of 8mm Smoky Quartz and Selenite beads, punctuated with gold vermeil accent beads and centred on a Smoky Quartz point charm with a gold electroplated layer, a piece that balances grounding and clarity with a quiet, warm lustre.

Smoky Quartz is one of the most powerful grounding and protective stones available. Its deep, translucent brown-grey tones carry an earthy, anchoring energy, associated with the release of negative emotions, stress, and anxiety, and the gentle transmutation of difficult energy into something more neutral and manageable. It is a stone for those who feel overwhelmed or ungrounded, encouraging a calm, steady presence and a deeper connection to the physical world.

Selenite is a stone of pure, high-vibration light. Named after Selene, the Greek goddess of the moon, its soft white luminosity is associated with clarity of mind, energetic cleansing, and the removal of stagnant or heavy energy. Selenite is one of the few stones believed to cleanse and recharge other crystals around it, making it a powerful companion to the Smoky Quartz, continually refreshing its protective energy.

Together, these two stones form a deeply complementary pairing, Smoky Quartz drawing dense energy downward and out, Selenite lifting and clarifying from above. A bracelet for those navigating stress, transition, or the need for energetic reset.

The central Smoky Quartz point charm, finished with a gold electroplated layer, acts as a focal point for the bracelet's intention, the natural termination of the point directing and amplifying the stone's grounding energy. Gold vermeil accent beads (sterling silver with a layer of 18 karat gold) add warmth and a considered finish throughout.

Strung on strong stretch cord and sized to fit the UK average women's wrist size of 6.5 inches, with 8mm beads throughout for a substantial, comfortable wear.
