I am delighted to introduce my new home for handcrafted artisan gemstone jewellery, where every piece is created with intention, craftsmanship, and an appreciation for the natural beauty of exceptional gemstones.

I’m Rachel Hartley, founder and jewellery designer of Rachel Hartley Atelier. With years of experience studying and working with the healing properties and energy of crystals, my knowledge of gemstone selection extends beyond aesthetics. Each stone is chosen not only for its beauty and individuality, but also for the qualities it is believed to embody.

Every design begins with the gemstone. I work with carefully selected stones, combining them with sterling silver, gold vermeil, and copper to create jewellery that is both timeless and deeply personal.

Each piece is handcrafted in my studio with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every creation reflects the care, skill, and intention invested in its making. This is not mass-produced jewellery. It is created slowly, one piece at a time, for those who value authenticity, craftsmanship, and meaningful design.

There is something immediately tender about Rhodochrosite, its blushed pinks and creamy whites layered together like the inside of a rose, each bead entirely its own. This bracelet brings together both freeform and round Rhodochrosite beads, their varied shapes celebrating the natural character of the stone, accented throughout with sterling silver round beads. It is a substantial design, a bracelet that makes its presence felt, worn with confidence. Finished with a sterling silver clasp and fixings, every element is silver throughout, a cohesive, considered finish that speaks to quiet luxury.

Rhodochrosite is a manganese carbonate mineral, prized for its distinctive banded patterning in shades of deep rose, soft pink, and warm cream. Found primarily in Argentina, where it is the national stone, as well as in South Africa, Peru, and the United States, it has been treasured for centuries for both its beauty and its rarity. No two beads are alike, making each bracelet a genuinely one-of-a-kind piece. The combination of freeform and round beads brings a pleasing rhythm to the design, organic and refined in equal measure.

Rhodochrosite is a stone of the heart, deeply associated with compassion, self-love, and emotional healing. It is believed to gently dissolve old wounds and encourage a return to joy, helping those who wear it to embrace their own worth with warmth and openness. It works with the heart chakra, supporting loving relationships, most importantly, the relationship one has with oneself.
