I’m Rachel Hartley, founder and jewellery designer of Rachel Hartley Atelier. With years of experience studying and working with the healing properties and energy of crystals, my knowledge of gemstone selection extends beyond aesthetics. Each stone is chosen not only for its beauty and individuality, but also for the qualities it is believed to embody.

Every design begins with the gemstone. I work with carefully selected stones, combining them with sterling silver, gold vermeil, and copper to create jewellery that is both timeless and deeply personal.

Each piece is handcrafted in my studio with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every creation reflects the care, skill, and intention invested in its making. This is not mass-produced jewellery. It is created slowly, one piece at a time, for those who value authenticity, craftsmanship, and meaningful design.

A faceted teardrop of AAA grade Morganite, set in sterling silver and suspended from an 18 inch fine curb chain, a piece of soft, rose-blush warmth and tender elegance.

Morganite is a variety of beryl, sister stone to Emerald and Aquamarine, its colour ranging from the palest blush pink to a warm peachy rose — the result of trace manganese present during crystallisation. AAA grade stones are selected for exceptional clarity, depth of colour, and the quality of their cut, stones with a luminosity that is immediately apparent.

Morganite works primarily with the heart chakra. It is one of the most gentle and nurturing stones available, associated with unconditional love, compassion, and emotional healing. It is believed to dissolve old wounds and patterns of grief, to soften the heart after loss or hardship, and to encourage a deep sense of self-worth and inner peace.

Where some heart chakra stones work with passion and vitality, Morganite works with tenderness. It is a stone of patience and acceptance, thought to attract loving relationships and deepen existing ones, while encouraging the wearer to extend that same compassion inward. It is particularly associated with those going through periods of emotional transition, grief, or the quiet work of healing.
