I am delighted to introduce my new home for handcrafted artisan gemstone jewellery, where every piece is created with intention, craftsmanship, and an appreciation for the natural beauty of exceptional gemstones.

I’m Rachel Hartley, founder and jewellery designer of Rachel Hartley Atelier. With years of experience studying and working with the healing properties and energy of crystals, my knowledge of gemstone selection extends beyond aesthetics. Each stone is chosen not only for its beauty and individuality, but also for the qualities it is believed to embody.

Every design begins with the gemstone. I work with carefully selected stones, combining them with sterling silver, gold vermeil, and copper to create jewellery that is both timeless and deeply personal.

Each piece is handcrafted in my studio with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every creation reflects the care, skill, and intention invested in its making. This is not mass-produced jewellery. It is created slowly, one piece at a time, for those who value authenticity, craftsmanship, and meaningful design.

Lavender Amethyst has a softness that is immediately arresting. A pale, luminous violet somewhere between early morning light and the quiet of a still garden. It is a stone that brings a sense of calm and gentle clarity wherever it is worn. The AAA grade stones used in this collection are selected for the delicacy and evenness of their colour, and the precision of their faceting.

Amethyst is a variety of quartz prized for its range of violet hues and its natural transparency. Lavender Amethyst, with its lighter, more ethereal tone, is associated with peace, intuition, and spiritual clarity, a stone thought to still the mind, support inner knowing, and bring a sense of quiet confidence. It works with the crown chakra, encouraging openness, reflection, and a deeper connection to oneself.

This ring is built around a sterling silver chevron band, its angled form clean and architectural, designed to sit beautifully alone or stacked. From it, a beautiful AAA-grade Lavender Amethyst stone, cut into an elegant oval shape to draw out the stone's softness and brilliance, is suspended in sterling silver wire wrapping, hanging like a charm from the band. The effect is delicate and considered; the stone moves with you, catching light as it goes.
