I’m Rachel Hartley, founder and jewellery designer of Rachel Hartley Atelier. With years of experience studying and working with the healing properties and energy of crystals, my knowledge of gemstone selection extends beyond aesthetics. Each stone is chosen not only for its beauty and individuality, but also for the qualities it is believed to embody.

Every design begins with the gemstone. I work with carefully selected stones, combining them with sterling silver, gold vermeil, and copper to create jewellery that is both timeless and deeply personal.

Each piece is handcrafted in my studio with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every creation reflects the care, skill, and intention invested in its making. This is not mass-produced jewellery. It is created slowly, one piece at a time, for those who value authenticity, craftsmanship, and meaningful design.

There are stones that work on the body, and stones that work on the voice. This bracelet was made for the second kind.

Blue apatite opens the piece with a vivid, electric clarity. Named from the Greek word for deceit because it was so often mistaken for other stones. Apatite is itself entirely honest in its energy. It is associated with truth, self-expression, and the clearing of confusion, working with the throat chakra to help articulate what is genuinely felt rather than what is simply expected. It is also a stone of motivation and intellectual focus, the kind that makes it easier to think clearly and speak directly.

Amazonite brings a steadier, more grounding energy to the blend. Named for the Amazon river, though found across the world, it carries the cool, expansive quality of water, calming the nervous system, soothing anxiety, and creating the kind of inner equilibrium from which honest communication becomes possible. It works with both the heart and throat chakras, bridging what is felt with what is said, and encouraging the courage to say it.

Selenite anchors the bracelet. Luminous and purifying, it is one of the few stones said to cleanse those around it, holding the energy of the whole piece in a state of clarity and light. It brings a quiet stillness to the blend, the pause before the right words arrive.

Together, these three stones form a bracelet for clarity of mind and honesty of expression, for the conversations that matter, the decisions that require courage, and the moments when it is important to know your own mind.

Finished with sterling silver accent beads, their cool, precise tone a considered counterpoint to the blues and greens of the stones.

Strung on stretch cord with 6mm gemstone beads, it is made to fit the average UK wrist size of 6.5 inches, easy to wear, and comfortable to keep on.
