I’m Rachel Hartley, founder and jewellery designer of Rachel Hartley Atelier. With years of experience studying and working with the healing properties and energy of crystals, my knowledge of gemstone selection extends beyond aesthetics. Each stone is chosen not only for its beauty and individuality, but also for the qualities it is believed to embody.

Every design begins with the gemstone. I work with carefully selected stones, combining them with sterling silver, gold vermeil, and copper to create jewellery that is both timeless and deeply personal.

Each piece is handcrafted in my studio with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every creation reflects the care, skill, and intention invested in its making. This is not mass-produced jewellery. It is created slowly, one piece at a time, for those who value authenticity, craftsmanship, and meaningful design.

Clear Quartz is known as the master healer; the most versatile and widely used stone in crystal healing practice. Colourless and brilliantly clear, it is believed to amplify energy, intention, and the properties of any stone it is paired with. It brings clarity of thought, focus, and a heightened awareness, a stone that clears mental fog and helps the wearer see situations with greater objectivity and purpose. Positioned above the Aquamarine, it acts as an amplifier, deepening and directing the energy of the stone below.

Aquamarine is a stone of the sea, its soft blue-green hue evoking still water and open horizons. A variety of beryl, it has been carried by sailors for protection and courage for centuries, and remains one of the most beloved stones for those navigating uncertainty or transition. It works primarily with the throat chakra, encouraging calm, clear communication and the courage to speak one's truth with honesty and compassion.

Aquamarine is also deeply soothing, associated with the release of stress and overwhelm, and the cultivation of a quiet, meditative calm. It is a stone for those who carry too much, encouraging the wearer to let go of what no longer serves and to move forward with clarity and trust.
